What should I do? This lil guy's been coming round every night for the last week or so, usually around the same time. Stays the night and the leaves early in the morning. Ground floor flat so it just jumps through the window and welcomes itself in. (Unsure of male or female, any advice on how to find out would be helpful!)

If Affectionate-Rush570 you can, vets, shelters or most Pets at Home can scan for a microchip. If not owned and you're happy with the situation, congratulations on your new cat!
  • 05
If keeping, make sure cat is neutered and healthy, up to date with vaccines etc. Pet insurance first is very much your friend!

Few-Drag9758 Put a collar on it with a note "is this your cat, please callxxxxXCX". Guarantee that cat is milking multiple houses for food because that's what smart cats do.

xChiken That cat is too big to be "desperately hungry" lol. It's probably figured out that you and multiple other households give it food whenever it comes by.

In England it's now the law to get pets mircochipped so you should be able to get it scanned. And if you're not able to adopt, surrender to a shelter. Battersea might be the closest option to you.

Outrageous_Fox_8796 It doesn't look underweight. Take it to a vet, you're in England and most people let their cats outside in England.

Careful_Contract_806 Looks in good condition. I live in North London too and they're mad about their cats here. Dont assume you can keep it. Ask around the neighbourhood or in local Facebook groups.

dinglesmcbingles hi! what a cute kitty! :) since they don't have a collar, my best advice would be to take them to a professional and check for a microchip. if there isn't one, you can make the decision from there if you want to keep the kitty.

whether or not you decide to keep them, you should get them spayed/neutered and get them their shots too. i'm unsure where you're located but some rescues will do it for free/reduced cost if you don't have the funds. :) (a vet

OR a rescue could also help you determine whether they are male or female.) i would strongly recommend taking them in and giving them love and a good home. it seems like you've done a great job so far and they seem to really trust you. if, for some

reason, you end up not being able to house/provide for the kitty, your best bet would be to find a cat rescue -- i would not recommend that if you are able to provide for the kitty!! but i understand everyone's circumstances are different. best of luck to you and i hope you get it figured out!!!
